- If you have a Bank Verification Number (BVN), please bring it with you for your NIN registration. A NIN may already be associated with your BVN. If so, the NIN is only reserved and not validated. It only becomes valid after you are registered and have your biometrics captured in the NIMC database.
Note: If you choose not to share your BVN or you have forgotten it, and a NIN has been reserved for your BVN, an error will result, and you will need to register again at your cost.

- Enrolling children under 16 years old: A parent or guardian’s NIN is required. Please bring a copy of the parent or guardian’s ID (Passport and NIN).
- Change of Name: If you have done a change of name, please bring documents showing your change of name (e.g., Newspaper publication, Attestation)
On your appointment date:
- Ensure you have the DIGITAL NPC Certificate & Other Required Documents ready before attending the Enrollment Centres.
- Please READ CAREFULLY, UNDERSTAND, and ENSURE you book the correct Service. WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS ONCE YOU CONFIRM THE DETAILS AND BIOMETRICS ARE TAKEN AND SUBMITTED.
Please NOTE the following CAREFULLY:
- It is your RESPONSIBILITY to provide your NPC DIGITAL CERTIFICATE.
- DO NOT VISIT THE CENTRE WITHOUT YOUR NPC DIGITAL CERTIFICATE AND OTHER REQUIRED DOCUMENTS.
- It is your RESPONSIBILITY to provide your BVN (if you have one).
- It is your RESPONSIBILITY to CHECK your Details (on the Screen).

On your appointment date, please come along with YOUR NPC DIGITAL CERTIFICATE, other REQUIRED DOCUMENTS and your BVN (if you have any):
For Adults:
- National Population Commission (NPC) Birth Attestation Certificate (Digital) *Compulsory (Adults).
- NPC Birth Registration Cert. (Digital) *Compulsory.
- NPC FOREIGN Birth REGISTRATION Cert. (Digital) Adult – *Compulsory.
- Nigerian International Passport (Valid or Expired)
- Your Foreign Passport (If you have one)
- And your BVN (Bank Verification Number) (If you have ANY)
It is your RESPONSIBILITY to provide your BVN if you have one.
It is your RESPONSIBILITY to CHECK your Details (before it is submitted).
For Children:
- NPC Birth REGISTRATION Cert (Digital) Child – *Compulsory.
- NPC FOREIGN Birth REGISTRATION Cert (Digital) Child – *Compulsory.
- NIN of an Adult (Parent or Guardian) – MANDATORY
- Nigerian International Passport (If Applicable)
- Your child’s other Country’s International Passport (if any).
If your child has never had a Nigerian Passport before, You must come with :
- NPC BIRTH REGISTRATION Cert (Digital) Child – *Compulsory.
- NPC FOREIGN Birth REGISTRATION Cert (Digital) Child – *Compulsory.
- NIN of an Adult (Parent or Guardian) – MANDATORY
- One of the parents’ Nigerian Passports AND
- Your child’s other Country’s International Passport (if any).
NOTE: An NIN of an Adult (Parent or Guardian) is required/mandatory to enroll children below 16 years of age.
